This is the 3rd of 5 previews of the Cal Golden Bears who could be drafted in the 2011 NFL Draft. Thanks for reading.
Next we preview Mike Mohamed, the vocal leader of the 2010 Cal defense, and the savior for Cal in the 2009 Big Game.
This preview has recent news about him, then a bunch of different mock drafts, and finally my prediction as to where he’ll end up.
Recent News:

Mock Drafts:
Okay, now let’s look at a lot of mock drafts to see what round Mike Mohamed will be drafted in and what team he will go to.

Atlanta Falcons: Mike Mohamed, ILB, California
The Falcons have looked at a bunch of linebackers this draft season, including Mike Mohamed. He’d provide some much-needed depth.

Seventh round (207): Mike Mohamed, Middle Linebacker, California
One of the Bengals’ biggest needs is at middle linebacker. They tried Rey Maualuga there for a while, but it didn’t work out. They need to find some consistency in the center of their linebacker’s group.
Mike Mohamed is a 6’3″, 240 pound linebacker that ran a 4.65 at the combine. Although he’s a seventh-rounder, Mohamed could have an early impact on special teams.

Shaan’s Prediction:
I think Mike Mohamed will be drafted in the 7th round. I am actually going to make a prediction, which I didn’t for Jeremy Ross because he possibly might not be drafted. I think that Mike Mohamed will be the 229th pick, which is in the middle of the 7th round, and go to the Atlanta Falcons. The Texans could get him with the 212th pick (7th Round), but I think he will fall to a team which really wants him in the Falcons.
