Former Cal great, Leon Powe, signed with the Memphis Grizzles on March 5th. With forward Rudy Gay out with a dislocated shoulder, this is a great add for Memphis. Powe was waived by Cleveland on February 24th and averaged 5 points and 2.7 rebounds a game. He comes in with playoff experience from his time in Boston and has won a championship too. Currently Memphis is the 8 seed in the west and with Powe filling in the void for injured Gay the Grizzles are still able to keep their playoff hopes alive.
