Cal ends #1 Rice’s season, will play later tonight against Baylor

Due to lightning strikes, this game ended at 5:55, about 6 hours after the noon start time. No matter. The Bears got the win they needed to keep them alive in the tournament. A better recap of the games today will come later.
The Bears will face Baylor again at 6:36. It’s likely Kyle Porter will take the mound for the Golden Bears. If they win, the two teams will match up again tomorrow. If they lose, it’s Baylor advancing to the super regionals.
Hopefully the Bears can continue their run and pick up another win tonight. Either way, they’ve had a spectacular recovery from their opening loss. Hopefully they continue their run another day. Go Bears!
