This last offer is another case of Cal Women’s Basketball trying to cash in on all the local talent (like GBL’s other exclusive update on Oderah Chidom getting a Cal offer, also from the East Bay) that seems to be in the Bay Area for the next couple years. It’s definitely a good sign that they’re pushing the hardest at home because that’s what you have to do begin a process of becoming a powerhouse. You need to recruit very well at home and then get some top players from around the country. The top players from around the country will come in due time, but building a good team first and looking ahead at the future is everything. Cal Women’s Basketball definitely looks to be on the right path to greatness. Go Bears!
