The California Golden Bears have offered talented defensive end Torrodney Prevot, and the 2013 recruit from Houston, Texas is one of the top 15 defensive ends in the class. He is one of the best 50 recruits in the Midlands and one of the top 25 in the state of Texas. The four-star recruit is ranked 160th overall by 247Sports.

Torrodney Prevot has offers from Cal, Arizona State, Baylor, Colorado, Houston, Illinois, Kansas, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Oregon, SMU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, USC, Utah, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia.

The four-star DE has a 247Sports rating of 92 and an ESPN Scout Grade of 81. The 6’4″, 210 pound end is highly regarded for his motor which leads him to be great in pursuit and a disruptive presence.

Prevot runs a 4.58 forty and is one of the country’s hottest prospects. He is a great playmaker at this position, and Texas, Texas A&M, and LSU are going hard after Torrodney Prevot. The Golden Bears hit the recruiting trail hard and will be going after this top end who can be a huge disruptive presence on a defensive line in college.

He does need to get stronger, and his size and consistency are two issues that scouts have with him. Torrodney Prevot is, however, incredibly quick and is a talented pass rusher. He had 14 sacks and 20 tackles for loss (53 total tackles) as junior, and he does a great job of getting off of blocks and getting to the quarterback.

The Texas recruit is one of the best pure pass rushers in this class, and he is one of the best five weakside DE pass rushers in the 2013 class. Prevot has elite quickness and is by offensive linemen in a flash. Most say that he will be a hybrid DE/OLB due to a lack of size, and he has great length that allows him to disengage and tip passes. Prevot makes a high amount of plays defensively in the opposition’s backfield, and his pass rushing skills are off-the-charts.
