Oregon, Notre Dame, and USC are the three big schools that have been recruiting Dakota Turner hard. The Mililani High recruit can also play at linebacker and tight end in addition to defensive end.
The 6’3″, 250 pound end had 52 tackles, 22 for a loss, eight sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and a defensive touchdown last season For some highlights on Dakota Turner, check out Scout.com.
Turner has interest in Oregon, and more teams are showing interest in the 2013 recruit. Expect more offers to be on the way for him in the summer, and some scouts believe that he will eventually kick inside and play tackle. He is a strong player who gets good leverage at the line of scrimmage with that strength, which is why some view him as a future DT. Turner also has a quick first step, so he can play inside or outside, but his strength shows that he is best suited to play inside.
